CCSi 6" Mechanical Guillotine Style Rubber Cutter

The CCSi 6″ Mechanical Guillotine Rubber Cutter is the compact model in CCSi’s cantilever cutter line, sized for benches with limited space or labs that don’t need the longer cutting stroke of the 14″ model. It handles the same range of tasks — trimming raw rubber for viscometer and rheometer sampling, slicing compounded material into preforms, and cutting cured sheet stock up to 3 inches thick — just in a smaller footprint.

A cam-action mechanism keeps the blade nearly parallel to the material throughout the stroke, avoiding the slipping and squeezing that scissor-action cutters introduce on soft or uncured stock. The guillotine blade works against an aluminum strip, with leverage built into the arm to generate strong cutting force without heavy hand pressure — useful on a smaller frame where you have less mechanical advantage to work with than on the larger unit.

At 35 lbs and roughly two-thirds the footprint of the 14″ model (6.75″ × 13.5″ × 19.5″), this is the version to choose when bench space or portability matters more than maximum cutting length. Blades are high-carbon tool steel and resharpenable through CCSi rather than requiring outright replacement — contact CCSi for resharpening quotes. A spare parts kit (CCS-150-S) covers the replacement blade and aluminum cutting strip.
